Providing outpatient chemical dependency services located in Ithaca, New York, we are a team of unique professionals dedicated to providing holistic recovery services that recognize and value the innate dignity of each person.
Our services are defined by the values of individual empowerment, knowledge, caring, and the potential of each individual to effectively collaborate in his or her ongoing recovery. We measure ourselves by our ability to assist individuals to experience a life free from the harmful effects of substances and to release their potential.
Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services is now offering a carf-accredited Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at our Ithaca Outpatient facility, which will provide group and individual counseling sessions and dispense daily medications including Suboxone and Methadone.
An Opioid Treatment Program handbook can be found HERE (link).
Patients who qualify for the program can be treated on-site with medications to aid in their recovery process and maintain abstinence with the use of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Clients will move through the stages of the program and be granted “take home” medications when clinically appropriate, otherwise, they will receive medication 6 days per week at OTP and attend groups and individual sessions as clinically indicated in their treatment plan.
OTP services include a dedicated Primary Addiction Counselor to assist individually with patient-specific needs, Peer Advocates to help clients connect with sober supports within the community, and a Nurse Practitioner and Doctor on site for physical exams and medical monitoring.
To apply or refer someone, you can call us at 607-273-5500.
Walk-ins are welcome for our Outpatient and Opioid Treatment programs, and Addiction Counselors are available to do assessments during business hours.
After connecting with us, come in to do an assessment with a clinician, review your medication history, and complete a physical before determining a treatment plan.
Initially clients will come to the facility six days per week for their prescription. As they progress through the program they may come less often and start taking prescriptions home with them.
If a client is receiving methadone treatment through our program, they are required to participate in counseling services as well, meeting with a therapist at least once per week.
For those who are interested, we also offer the option to attend groups.
Clients transferring from other programs are able to continue their work with us in the form of an existing care plan.
Most major insurances including Medicaid are accepted.
Not sure what your insurance covers? We will walk through it and help you understand what your options are based on insurance or your situation. We can also help you apply for Medicaid.
A sliding fee scale is offered for self-pay clients. Day and evening services are provided. We serve clients age 13 and older.
