C.A.R.S. Welcomes New Residential Program Director

We are thrilled to announce that Wanda Markland has become Program Director at Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services’ (C.A.R.S.) Men’s Residential 820 facility in Trumansburg, NY. Her first day as Program Director was Monday, January 4th.  

 

Wanda comes to C.A.R.S with extensive human services leadership experience in the field of Corrections, most recently as a Warden within the South Dakota Department of Corrections. In addition to having served as Warden, Wanda’s previous roles within the South Dakota and Tennessee Departments of Corrections have included Associate Warden of Treatment, Correctional Counselor, Classifications Director, Assistant Resident Unit Supervisor, Case Manager, and Correctional Officer.  

 

Wanda brings valuable competencies to her role as Program Director, including executive management, facilities management, program oversight, and operations. Throughout her work in Corrections, as well as in additional human services roles she has taken on, Wanda has gained vast experience working with individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) and helping them achieve recovery.
